Quiz competitions are conducted to reinvent the education system and give trainees a break from traditional classroom and lab learning. And technology can act as a facilitator by bringing innovation to quizzes and ensuring active participation among students. Today, quizzes are interactive platforms where students are not participating to take home a prize or get famous overnight, but to gain knowledge, seek opportunities to excel beyond academics and secure their future.
The trainees of DBTI Okhla had the privilege of participating in interactive quiz competition on 28th January 2023. One of the outstanding characteristics of the program was that the audience was also able to participate in the quiz. There were 14 variety of quiz rounds and there were ten teams who actively participated. There were questions on Don Bosco, G 20 summit, General Knowledge, Audio/video clips, Riddles, Rapid rounds, abbreviations, Buzzer round and other activity based questions.
The trainees were very alert and eager to gain more knowledge during the two and half hours of the quiz program. Br. Tom C. J, the Principal was the quiz master and he was assisted by Mr. Amit Gautam, Mr. Vaman, Mr. Sanjeet, Br. Jerom together with Ankur, Gerald, Anmol and Ashwit. The best team was Delhi Tigers representing Draughtsman first year and the participants were Prashan, Kartik and Jobin Ekka. Hearty congratulations to the team. There were two contestants for the second position; Boscos and Titanic II representing CVEGD second years and Machinist second years respectively. Third position went to the team Antivirus representing Graphic Design(1year). Kudos to the performers!
The atmosphere was electric during the entire duration of the quiz as everyone including the audience was eager to learn something more. The program has given quite a bit of additional knowledge especially on G 20 summit and Don Bosco. It was evident at the end of the program that everyone had a sense of joy and satisfaction of gaining something for life.
